Runes
In the English language, we have words for everything and quite a few for one thing. For example, we have cockatrice and basilisk, grateful and thankful, as well as many others. In runes however, we have far less (even though it's still a rather large amount). There is only one rune for everything, only one, no duplicates and no spare words.
As to prove this, there is only one rune for fire, and no other. There are different parts of fire, such as smoke, warmth, light, etc. that can combine to mean fire, but it is not actually fire. They are only its components. There are many parts of runes that are also used for other things, subc
I'm Damien Parter, a junior in college with a year of writing and drawing experience. It's my goal to turn myself into a competent and capable artist in both the visual and written arts.
This profile will store my progression from the basics to whatever the future holds for me...
It has been entirely too long since I last logged in on this site, and I apologize to anyone still watching for that time without any content or news.
I've changed a lot in the past few years, and I want to keep changing. To keep improving and becoming a better person, a better artist, a better friend. To that end, I will be making a new start. A new account that will begin with more content, both refreshing what I have done in the past and starting on new ideas that have been stuck in my head for a while. I plan to be posting content weekly at the least frequent, and to try and connect more to those around me.
This change will take some ti
This journal will probably be a little long, so for those of you who don't want to read the whole thing: the general summary is that I'm tired of being so inexperienced and am making efforts to improve and will be much more active.
So I just visited my Macrophile account after a long absence, and I noticed that it was exactly four years ago that I set that account up. Four years ago, I took my first step in testing the waters and actually trying to be a writer and artist. And what better time than that notice to really consider what's changed?
When I first started out, I still had my stutter and even emphasized that in my typing. Eventuall
It's been far too long since I was actively productive, and I am planning to change that. Over the past months, I've been working diligently on improving my art and writing, and I plan to increase that effort from now on. I will once again adopt a semi-flexible weekly schedule with a loose guide of updating and posting. The coming weeks will be a slow upscaling from simple to complex as I ease into posting once again.
Starting this week, I will begin posting chapters of three separate stories:
Small Miracles (tame):
My first story. A lone micro living in an unowned house finds his world shaken up with several new changes and must adapt to
So, here I am, a week late wishing you a happy birthday. I can blame work and the holiday for the last three days (no library = no computer), but really, I'm just an insensitive and oblivious clod. I hope you had a good day, full of fun and free of drama!
You're not insensitive or oblivious at all. My birthday's not really important, and probably not very well known, so it's understandable to forget. Tnaks for the good wishes, though.
